Lee Triffon
Daughter of a dancer and sea-faring captain, beautiful singer-song writer Lee Triffon spent years discovering the world from the decks of her father's ships – and the memory of these voyages, the sites and sounds have influenced, defined and designed the music she writes, and the stories she tells. From early on, Lee Triffon showed great talent for dance, music and painting which encouraged her parents to enroll her in the prestigious Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts where she graduated with honors and a major in visual arts. Thereafter, she began a career in modeling, went on to study music and guitar and naturally began composing her own tunes, opting for English over her mother tongue, Hebrew.
Following a tragic horse-back riding accident and a lengthy rehabilitation period, Lee’s interests turned more and more towards composition, poetry and performing and she began playing gigs and concerts around Tel Aviv.
Lee’s very personal style, and rich, precise and unique sound attracted the attention of one of Israel’s most innovative producers, Ofer Eckerling. Following his instincts for music that is ahead of its time, Eckerling invited Lee to audition, and immediately signed her to the Indivox Label...not only for her supple, vocal quality and the originality of her “unusual” and imaginative repertoire, but for her futuristic approach, and warm and expressive personality.
The four titles on this album were written by Lee Triffon and arranged by Ofer Eckerling and Ron La’or. Ambient, intriguing and compelling, these melodies underline the soft yet consistent and present vocal strength that is Lee’s trademark. The orchestral arrangements and clever balance of electronics are a welcome contrast to actual trends in popular music. And the languorous, airy structure of this music makes it an easy choice for secondary use in feature film productions.
Ofer Eckerling
Producer, sound engineer and musician Ofer Eckerling entered the music industry with a first album release that went gold in 1982 taking along with it several prestigious music awards, followed by an illustrious career in production that the press has never ceased to hail as surprising, intelligent, fascinating, addictive, brilliant...
Today that first gold album, Don’t Want to Go to Zambia marks a major turning point in the Israeli recording industry and rock field. And Eckerling’s work over the past 25 years has served to set the high recording standards in this country - considered the reference for great quality sound and original production that outlives trends.
